Megan Edgemond is a wedding film director & storyteller based in Southern California. She founded Saltrock Studios in twenty-twenty, with her work spanning digital & film mediums
Megan's love for film began early; as a child, she'd document her family doing ordinary things, instinctively drawn to capturing anything and everything. Growing up where stories preserved on film held weight, she learned the beauty of life told through analog mediums and the artistry each frame could hold. After exploring journalism, visual communications, and filming concerts and artists, she found her way to weddings during the pandemic and discovered where she belonged.
When she's not behind the camera or editing in a coffee shop with an iced matcha, you'll find her exploring: surfing California's coast, hiking, skiing, trying new restaurants, always seeking experiences that ground her in what's authentic.
[ Ethos & Approach ]Our approach blends unobtrusive documentary-style coverage with the warm, nostalgic texture of film, all grounded in presence & story. Known for films that feel honest, we approach each wedding as a natural extension of how our couples live. We're drawn to the unseen moments, the quiet details, the spaces where emotion lives. Our deepest desire is for our couples to watch their film and feel exactly what they felt standing there, to laugh and cry and remember not just what happened, but how it all made them feel.
